Caroline Kennedy Why Not!!!

I never thought the day would come when I wanted to see another Kennedy in office but I believe in fairness to all. In order of fairness she should be the new senator from New York. Why, because she has all the same qualifications as Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner: tax liabilities and worker’s comp problems over her nanny.

Energy crisis! What energyoil crisis?

I hope we as a nation do not think the energy crisis is over. If you remember the 1970’s the energy crisis came and went. Most thought it was a one-time blip in the system, and politicians agreed and did nothing to head off the current crisis.

We cannot react now as we did in the 1970’s. Wake up everyone, it is real and will get much worse before there is a fix for it. China, India and Indonesia are coming on strong. Those countries will demand more oil for their progress into economic prosperity. As we enjoy rather cheap gas now (price per gallon lower by approx. 28% in the past year) be aware that it is only temporary. How long will it last? Your guess is as good as mine.

My biggest fear is our “Career Politicians”. I know we, the people, elect them to office. However it is PACS, lobbyists, and others with money that provides the needed capital to finance an election. Who will they listen to? The people that voted for them or the organizations that provided the needed money to finance an election or reelection. I believe in the golden rule: those that have the gold rule. These rulers’ interest may be counter to what is best for the country.  What will the final outcome be?
